Do you have insurance?

What type of music do you play?
I have a vast music selection covering many genres including 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s right up current chart and new releases. You are more than welcome to provide me with a playlist prior to the event and I am happy to take requests on the evening of the event. If you ask for any music in advance which I do not have in I will endeavour to add this to my collection for you.
How much does it cost to hire your disco?
My prices are calculated based on the duration and date of your event. I do not charge for travel (so long as your function is held within the region) and I do not charge for the time it takes me set up and pack away. Contact me today with the details of your function to receive a tailored quotation.
When and how do I pay?
I will require a booking reservation fee to secure my services. This is typically a non refundable payment of 25% of the total fees. The balance is payable either in advance of the event or on the night itself. Payment is accepted in a number of ways; you can pay by cash, cheque, or directly into my bank.
How can I be sure you will turn up for my event?
You will receive a written contract upon confirmation of your booking which affirms my commitment to perform at your function. The contract includes a number of terms and conditions that I ask you to sign and return to me confirming that they meet with your approval.
I know someone who can DJ for £30 for the whole event. Why do you charge more?
When you book a professional DJ, you are paying for the peace of mind that your DJ has the knowledge, expertise, equipment and skill to ensure your event is a success. There are some excellent DJs who charge very little, but beware of cowboys. The price I charge includes high quality sound and lighting equipment, comprehensive music collection, public liability insurance, Portable Appliance Testing, travel time and expenses and preparation time before the event.
How long do you need to set up?
It typically takes 1 hour to set up my equipment. Where the venue allows, I will always arrive in plenty of time to set up the equipment before the start of your event. It takes a similar amount of time to pack up again afterwards. Please bear this in mind when arranging your venue and planning your event.
Do you require vehicle access to the venue?
Yes I do. This is vital as my equipment includes some large and heavy pieces of kit which are difficult move over long distances. Your venue must allow for an area where my vehicle can be safely left during the event.
What will you wear?
I will usually wear smart casual, unless you have a specific dress code at your event. Please specify when making your booking if you require me to wear more formal attire such as a suit, black tie, etc.
I have a friend who is a DJ. Can he have a go?
Unfortunately not. My Public Liability Insurance only covers me to use the equipment. He can, of course, request any song he wishes to hear and I will endeavour play this for him instead!
